Who watched the Watchmen?

How has watched "Watchmen" and how did you like it? Did it live up to the hype? Did it live up to the Comic?

Nothing can live up to the comic, they (the director/producers/cast/crew) knew that. However, it's more like a tribute. It was phenomenal. If you haven't read the book, it might be harder to follow though. The film did change the ending "SPOILER" from having Veidt hire hollywood fx engineers and artists to create the fake alien, to Veidt harnessing Dr.Manhattan's destructive powers into a bomb, setting it off in New York and then framing Dr.Manhattan for it."SPOILER"

I read the comic first. And later watched the film. I thought the film really sucked. Don't know why, maybe because the comic is just so great. The comic is a must-read for basically everyone on earth. It's that good.
